选择呼吸保护装置的指示是基于目前的知识。在每次使用ELIPSE呼吸器装置之前,买方和用户必须确保使用的口罩和过滤器是针对污染物的类型及其浓度指定的。产品的选择和使用的最终责任仅由买方和用户承担。
除尘过滤器能够保留空气中的微粒,并在各种结构中提供通过使用各种不同厚度、孔隙和表面的过滤材料来增强过滤器的特性,以防止微粒、气体和有害气体及气味。活性炭滤芯含有特定的活性炭,通过吸附来阻止一定的气体和蒸汽,而复合滤芯可以同时去除气体、蒸汽和微粒。
粉尘:当固体物质被分解成小碎片时,粉尘就形成了。粉尘越细,风险越大。
薄雾:薄雾是由液体物质通过雾化和冷凝过程(如喷漆)形成的微小液滴。
烟雾:当固体物质被高温汽化时产生的烟雾。蒸汽迅速冷却并凝结成非常细的颗粒。
呼吸过滤器有3个级别的保护,提高效率,通常用一个名义
保护系数(NPF)是指环境中污染物浓度与污染物浓度之比
在面具。产生的系数表示设备可以减少多少次的外部浓度。
防尘口罩效率等级
P1(面罩防尘过滤1级)80%过滤效率:4(NPF)
P2(面罩防尘过滤1级)95%过滤效率:10(NPF)
P2(面罩防尘过滤1级)99.95%过滤效率:40(NPF)
气体和蒸气:气体和蒸气是一种微小分子,可穿透颗粒过滤器。需要采用化学过滤器才能滤除气体和蒸气。
防毒面罩采用活性炭过滤器,通过物理或化学吸附滤除有害物质(通过特定字母与颜色表示)。

根据所吸附的污染物的数量,每一类防气体过滤器具有3种保护等级。因此具体应选用哪种过滤器取决于污染物可能达到的浓度。

混合过滤器(气体和除尘)除了标明特定气体的颜色,同时还在其白带及标记上用不同字母表示过滤效率等级。
过滤寿命取决于许多可变因素;穿戴者的呼吸频率、污染物的特性和水平、使用者接触污染物的时间长度以及温度和湿度等环境条件。饱和或使用过的滤芯会向佩戴者泄漏微量污染物,可通过气味、味道和刺激检测到。如果检测到污染物,应立即更换过滤器。
